Would Switching Weight Distribution of Trailer Improve Persistent Sway
Question:
How significant of an upgrade is the Equalizer E4 compared to The REESE® Pro Round Bar? I currently have The REESE® Pro Round Bar 11,500 LBS kit Reese part number 49913 and still get a fair amount of sway and Im considering upgrading. Is the E4 the way to go or should I consider something else? Towing a 2021 Salem 26DBUD roughly 9600lbs gross with a 2021 Ram 2500.

If you are still getting significant sway with your setup the solution wouldn't actually be a different weight distribution system. What you are in need of most likely is actually most likely getting more weight forward in the trailer so that you can increase your tongue weight. Most of the time it's not enough tongue weight that causes sway but it can also be a trailer that's sitting to high in the nose or that there is damaged suspension components.
