Ascent Tow Bar Compatibility with 2017 Ford Focus
Question:
Your website does not list the BX2663 for 2017 Ford Focus as being compatible with the Blue Ascent tow bar - is it? I need the a light weight unit due to health issues. Thanks.

Yes, the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit, # BX2663, a confirmed fit for your 2017 Ford Focus, will work with the Ascent Tow Bar # BX4370.
For wiring your indicator lights, I suggest the diode kit, # RM-15267. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector for the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV. I have attached a product review video and an installation video of this on a 2017 Ford Focus. Please note the link below.
Supplemental braking for for the towed vehicle is required by law, I suggest the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR. This is one of the easiest systems to set up and use. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
A high low adapter will probably be needed to set the tow bar level when you are flat towing. I've attached a link to a page listing high low adapters we have available.
Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.
