Can The Curt Echo Work In a Perpendicular Position To The Vehicle And Trailer?
Question:
I see that the proportional inertia action is a 3-axis operation, so does that mean the controller can operate when plugged into a vehicle 7-way that is mounted perpendicular to the trailer or perpendicular to the line of travel? Thanks

Yes, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is capable of operating at any angle and does not have to orient itself in the direction of travel.
When the Echo is plugged in it will run a calibration(flashing yellow) to determine what is level for the sensor.
The only position to be cautious of is the vertical position, not due to a calibration issue but more a ground clearance issue. This may cause the 7-way trailer connection to hang lower than the vehicle presenting a higher risk of damage to the wiring.
