Why is the Green Light Not Working on a Tekonsha Voyager?
Question:
What position should the power knob be in. I think I may have turned it off. I do not have a green power light showing anymore!!

If your Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 is not showing a green light, it means the controller is either not getting power or a ground is corroded. The power knob adjusts the output power of the controller and will not actually turn the controller on or off.
With that being said, you will want to check your power wire that supplies power to the controller with something like the Draw-Tite # PTW2993. If you are not getting power when the vehicle is turned on, you will need to follow the wire to see if there is a break, check your fuses if your vehicle was pre-wired for a brake controller, or check your circuit breakers if it is an aftermarket set up.
If you are getting power, you will need to check your ground wires. This isn't really applicable to a vehicle that is pre-wired for a brake controller, but definitely is for an aftermarket set up. You will need to make sure there is no corrosion or breaks in the sire and you still have a good, solid connection to bare metal that is not aluminum.
If neither of these gets the controller working when your trailer is plugged in, the controller may need to be replaced. The Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 does have a 5-year warranty, and this is definitely covered. If this was ordered through etrailer.com, either email our customer service at cs@etrailer.com or call at 1-800-298-8924 with your order number and we can get you all the needed warranty info.
If it was not ordered through us, you will need to contact the place that it was ordered from to get the warranty info.
