If you're having power issues when hauling your car hauler when towing with your 1998 Silverado, this chip will definitely help. I would recommend getting a cold air intake if you don't have one already. This one # EP84030 fits your truck. I presume that you have the 5.0 or 5.7L because that's what my 98 has. But this will work with the 4.3L as well. A chip goes a long way but it makes bolt on accessories like the intake go further as well. You will get more out of your bolt on upgrades and tune the more you do. Exhaust would be a good thing to add as well!
