Replacement Stereo for Travel Trailer

Question:

Hello - we have a Jayco SLX 145RB Travel Trailer that has a crapped out stereo. Looking to replace stereo - AM/FM, Bluetooth - there are two speakers inside the trailer and two speakers outside built in the awning. Confused as to what to purchase in order to have sound at all locations. What are the options? I dont know the first thing about zones and channels, etc. I just know I want sound available both inside and out. Thanks

Travel trailers frequently have two zones, one for speakers inside and second zone for speakers outside. These zones are independent, use one or both at the same time. Some larger RV's may have more than one inside zone. It appears to me that your travel trailer has two zones but I can not identify if have a single DIN or double DIN stereo; this is in reference to the size of the unit. Most multi-zone travel trailers have a double DIN and it's tough to go from a double to a single DIN but you can easily go from a single to a double with some slight modifications.

From the options currently available, I prefer the Jensen RV Stereo - Double DIN, # JWM45. This is a two zone stereo playing audio from radio signals, CDs, DVDs, and devices connected through Bluetooth. You also have the ability to connect an auxiliary cord, or a USB cord. If you have a double DIN size unit I recommend this option.

The RV Stereo - Single DIN - AUX/USB, Bluetooth, App Control - 2 Zone, # 324-000148 stereo plays audio from radio signals, CDs, DVDs, and devices connected through Bluetooth, an auxiliary cord, or a USB cord. This 2-Zone output plays music in separate areas and the Drive App allows you to use your phone to control stereo functions.
