Question:
I have a 2013 Honda Civic simple sedan. Im considering purchasing the Echohitch part # 306-X7235, and Im wondering if I can get a look at the instructions since you dont have a video covering how this hitch is installed?

EcoHitch doesn't allow us to directly link their instructions, but I'd be happy to give you a synopsis of the procedure and send you a copy of the installation instructions in a separate email.
You'll begin by removing the clips on the underside of the fascia that hold the center trim panel and removing the panel. You'll also remove the underbody panel if the vehicle is so equipped. Then, you will temporarily lower the exhaust as demonstrated in the linked video. You'll want to use a ratchet strap to prevent the exhaust from falling too far.
You'll next remove the heat shield, then fish the hardware into the frame on both the passenger and driver side. I'll link a video showing how to do this. You'll then trim and reinstall the heat shield.
Next, raise the hitch into position being careful not to push the hardware up into the frame, and then secure the hardware. Having another pair of hands would be helpful here.
Finally, you'll trim the trim panel and the underbody panel and reinstall them.
After looking over the installation instructions, the install doesn't appear to be too difficult. A fairly handy do-it-yourselfer could complete the install in roughly 1-2 hours.
