Recommended Trailer Hitch and 7-Way Trailer Connector for 2018 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hi, I need a class three trailer hitch that I can bolt on and a 7 pin connector that will plug in to my wire harness. I dont want to cut/splice wires. I saw on your website that I may need to get a 4 pin and an adapter. Is that still the case? Thank you!

The EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7250 is what I recommend for a 2018 Toyota Highlander. It offers a bolt-on install with hidden a crosstube. Then for the wiring, I recommend starting with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118449 and then adapting this to a 7-way with the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7L. In regards to the adapter, this is designed for wireless brake controllers. If the trailer has brakes you'll also need the Curt Echo part # C51180. These options won't require splicing into the vehicle.
