Distance Between Bolt Holes of Demco Channel Tongue Coupler DM16080-52

Question:

I purchased the DM15931-95 coupler, but the hole pattern is not quite right. see attached picture. I am now thinking maybe the DM16080-52 might be a better fit? it is replacing a Tiedown Surge Coupler TDE 16.5. can you compare the two hole patterns and tell me if maybe the DM16080-52 might be a better fit??

Thanks for the photo, and the distance between the front and rear bolt holes is 5 inches for the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler - Silver - 2-5/16" Ball - 3" Channel - Bolt On - 21K # DM16080-52.

So if you measure the bolt holes on your trailer's tongue and they are 5 inches, this coupler will bolt right into the holes you have.

I do recommend adding a coupler lock for added protection, the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock - 3-3/8" Span # e98888.

I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
