Installation of STL75AB With Grommet
Question:
I have a 5th wheel and need to replace the side marker lamp fixture. It appears that the ST75AB fixture will work fine, but all of your installation videos shows installing the grommet and hook up of the wiring pig tail occurring from behind the fixture. Since I dont have access behind the side marker except access to the wiring, will I be able to install all this as follows from the front?: 1. cut the hole, 2. connect the 3 prong pig tail to the wiring, 3. pull the pigtail thru the whole and thru the grommet, 4. push the grommet into the hole to set the grommet in place, 5. hook up the pig tail to the fixture, and 6. push the fixture/wiring pig tail into the grommet to set the fixture in place. My assumption is that this will work w/o access behind the hole, but wanted to confirm before ordering the 3 parts STL78AB, grommet, and pigtail wiring. Thanks,

At the end of the day you'll still have access to everything that is required to install the new lights since you're removing an existing light; this will allow you to make your electrical connections without any problems. There will always be a certain aspect of each installation that's going to be specific to each trailer and the process you've mentioned using I don't see any issues. If you're installing the # STL75AB then the correct grommet for that light is the # A70GB.
You should be able to pull the old light off and if there's not a compatible pigtail already installed then you can install one with part # A45PB.
