How Weatherproof is the Extang Solid Fold Tonneau Cover
Question:
I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn. I measure the bed as 6 ft. 4 in. You webpage keeps referring to 6 1/2 ft bed - are those one and the same thing? Also, how weatherproof is the cover?

A 6 foot 4 inch truck bed is commonly referred to as a 6-1/2 foot bed, so it's the same thing.
The Extang Solid Fold Hard Tonneau cover you'd looked at, part # EX83430 is a confirmed fit for your truck. The Extang Solid Fold tonneau does a great job of keeping the majority of the weather out, using thick rubber seals/gaskets and channels and drain hoses to route the water away from the interior but anyone who tells you their tonneau is 100% weatherproof is being disingenuous with you. I'll typically tell folks to properly protect anything you place in the truck bed in plastic if it absolutely cannot get wet.
If you drive through a torrential downpour or a car wash, you might get a small amount of water in the bed but that'll be the exception rather than the rule.
