Expert Reply:
Tire pressure will depend on the load range of the tire. The Castle Rock ST205/75R14 Radial Tire # LH84VR has a load range C, which will have a capacity of 1,760 pounds at 50 psi. The tire should be run at the max psi listed for said tire.
As to the temperature of the tires, typical tires experience a temperature increase of roughly 50 degrees after running on the highway for half an hour. If it's a 70 degree day, the tire temperature should be about 120 degrees. That being said, tires should not get up to or over 195 degrees. This will affect the life of the tire. If they are getting this hot, you are most likely running with too little tire pressure.
