Trailer Suspension Equalizer Upgrade For a 2019 Winnebago Minnie Winnie Travel Trailer
Question:
I am looking to upgrade the equalizer on my 2019 Minnie Winnie dual axle travel trailer with a max trailer weight of 7,000 lbs loaded. The all steel equalizer on the trailer has a 5-3/4inch horizontal hole spread and a 2inch vertical from the top hole to the bottom holes. I have been looking at the Lippert Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit. The horizontal hole spread is 6inch and the is 3-1/2inch on this equalizer. How do I know if the extra 1-1/2inch is ok for my trailer? Also, which bolts and hangers do you recommend the existing hangers are 3-1/2inch long overall and the bolts appear to be 1/2?

For your 2019 Winnebago Minnie Winnie I recommend using the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00. This will better to mirror your current equalizer so that you do not have to worry about replacing suspension hangers to ensure the suspension components maintain their correct geometry.
The Dexter equalizer is designed to replace equalizers that are between 5-1/4" and 6-1/4" wide on the bottom 2 bolts. It has the same 2" vertical spacing as your current equalizer and includes new shackle straps that are 2-1/4" from center hole to center hole. You also receive new 9/16" wet bolts to replace all the leaf spring bolts with and new brass bushings for better life.
I recommend LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 to grease all the wet bolts as well as the grease fittings on the equalizer. This heavy duty grease is designed for extreme temperatures and stress. It fuses to the parts and does not break down when exposed to water.
The Lippert Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit # LC696740 that you mentioned would possibly require you to change spring hangers as using longer shackle straps required may cause greater risk of the suspension contacting parts of your trailer.
