Correct Heat Shrink Butt Connectors for LED Reversible Trailer Fender Light with Chrome Trim

Hello, Purchased this light as a replacement for the wires damaged on the prior light, and using a heat shrink butt connector to connect the existing wire to the new wiring to attached the light. What size gauge should I purchase for the heat shrink butt connector? Much thanks,
