Is Lowering the Spare Tire Needed to Install Curt Hitch on 2014 Mazda CX-9
Question:
In reading the reviews on the Draw Tite hitch and the Curt hitch it mentions you have to move around the spare tire to lower or raise it. Do you have to do the same with the Draw Tite hitch

The rear spare tire does not need to be lowered or removed in order to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13575 on a 2014 Mazda CX-9. The installation is very simple, simply lift the hitch up into position and tighten the hardware then you're done.
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75531 does not require the spare tire to be lowered either.
