What do you Need to Transport 2 E-Bikes on a 2019 Toyota Avalon
Question:
I have two RadCity Step Thru bikes and would like to use this rack on a 2019 Avalon car. But I am having difficulty finding a 2inch receiver hitch that will fit the car, as all are only 1 1/4 inch. Will a hitch adapter to change 1 1/4 to 2inch work with this rack or is it the same as the Hollywood ebike rack and not recommended? Thanks.

I have a solution for you.
First, though, using a hitch expander on your hitch wouldn't work. Hitch adapters (including expanders) reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50%. With e-bikes like yours, you'll need to make use of the full tongue weight of your hitch. Luckily, we have a hitch and bike rack that you can still use for your 2019 Toyota Avalon.
For the hitch, you will need the Curt Class I, part # C11576. It's a 1-1/4" receiver with a tongue weight of 350 pounds.
For the bike rack, you won't be able to use the Swagman E-Spec, part # S94FR, you mentioned. Instead, you will need the Thule EasyFold XT, part # TH903202. It fits 1-1/4" receivers like the Draw-Tite above and it can carry two e-bikes up to 65 pounds each. I've linked to a video review of this below.
