Are the 50" Malone Crossbars Compatible with the 2015 Acura RDX

Question:

I have raised roof rails. Your site only gives two Malone options 58” and 65”. I feel 58” is to long. I’d like 50” but site says 50” won’t fit. Not sure why it won’t. It’s a small suv. 2015 Acura RDX w/ raised roof rails! Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:

We do have shorter crossbars for your 2015 Acura RDX.

First, though, the Malones do not have shorter crossbars available that are confirmed to fit your vehicle. This is confirmed with them as well.

If you want shorter bars, I recommend using the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, part # RRVA126B-2. They're 49"-long aero-style bars with T-slot that make them compatible with most accessories. I've linked to a video review of these below.

To mount these, you'll need the SX Series Legs, part # RRSX100. They will mount to your raised rails.
