Recommended Surge Brake Actuator To Replace Old Atwood Surge Brake Actuator For Drum Brakes

Question:

I have a 1989 ti trailer for my boat it has 2 axles, hydro drum brakes, 2 inch ball, 5000lb. The old atwood master cylinder is bad and i cant locate a replacement. The current actuator is welded in and it is 3.5 inch wide and 6 inches tall. I can weld something in its place and would like a electric lockout for reverse or a key for manual lockout would work too. Thank you

To replace your old Atwood surge brake actuator I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator - Weld On - Drum - 2" Ball - Primed - 7,500 lbs # DEX94FR which will still work with your 2" hitch ball and drum brakes. You will have no problem removing your current actuator and welding the # DEX94FR in its place.

The # DEX94FR does have a manual reverse lockout but you will need to purchase the lockout key # DX94FR.

I included a video of the # DEX94FR for you to take a look at.
