Expert Reply:

Since your trailer weighs around 2000lbs and can tow up to 7000lbs I recommend using two of the 30" Long Safety Chain with 7/16" S-Hook with Latch - 5,000 lbs - Qty 1 # TCTSCG30-730-04x1 which have a combined weight rating of 10000lbs which is plenty for your trailer.

To secure them to the trailer I recommend using two of the Buyers Products Safety Chain Clip # 337SC44B which will get welded to the tongue of your trailer in a location that allows the safety chains to reach the safety chain loops on your trailer hitch receiver.

I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
