Recommended Reasonably Priced Bike Rack for Hitch on 2019 VW Beetle
Question:
I had this hitch put on my 2019 VW Beetle. Do you have a recommendation for a two bike rack. Some of the racks look like they sit low to the ground. I was concerned about the height of the rack. I see that you have a rack for about $185.00. I was hoping to stay around 200.00. Thank you so much.!

Swagman makes a budget-friendly bike rack that would work well for you. I'd go with their XTC2 bike rack, part # S64670 standard or the # S64671 tilting model which can tilt away from the vehicle to allow access to the rear of the vehicle. Both racks offer a 35 lb per bike capacity and feature a shank that provides a 3 inch rise for great ground clearance. The cost of either rack is pretty close to the budget number you'd mentioned.
If you have a women's bike with step through frame, you'll want to go with a frame adapter bar like part # SA3040. A frame adapter bar spans the distance between the bike's seat post and the handlebar gooseneck, providing a level surface to attach to the bike rack.
