Temporarily Mounting Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack/Trailer Mover on Hinged Trailer Tongue
Question:
I have the above valet and use it fine on a 63 airstream 19 footer. I was letting a neighbor use it before he bought one. He has a 17 ft Boston Whaler sitting on a slight incline. The trailer has a swivel fold away tongue. The only place to mount the valet it is on that swivel tongue. It is connected with one grade 8 bolt and a grade 8 pin that is removed to allow it to swivel. If we remove the pin and temporally install another grade 8 bolt same size, can we mount the valet to the tongue? Dont know it the swivel points can stand the lifting by the valet. Any suggestions?

Since it seems that you're just speaking about a temporary installation so your neighbor can check out the
# STC-V211 Trailer Valet, mounting the trailer mover/jack as you describe would be fine, however if your neighbor decides to purchase a Trailer Valet in the future, he wouldn't want to mount the jack forward of the hinge because it will interfere with folding the trailer tongue.
