Safe Max Tire Pressure for Trailer Tires with 110 Max PSI Rating

Question:

I use a TPMS and see the pressure of the tires increasing as they heat up. Assuming I fill my G rated tires to the recommended cold temperature of 110#s. What the the maximum safe pressure the tires can handle?

The generally accepted rule for psi increases with temperature is that for every 10 degree change there is a 2% change in psi. For tire pressures like yours like # WE76FR that require 110 psi that ends up being 2 psi for every 10 degrees of temperature change.

So typically tires get up to 120 degrees when in use on the highway. So assuming you are going from about 70 degrees to 120 degrees that means a temp change of 50 degrees so you'd probably see an increase to about 120 psi. So maybe set the max pressure to a little over 120 and see how that goes.
