What Causes a No Connection Reading in the Display of My Brake Controller On MY 2003 Chevy Truck
Question:
2003 silverado installation by dealer . Lights, turn signals and brake lights all come on but the indicator still says NC. Also is there a fuse within the system itself? I have long since discarded the instruction s and the troubleshooting guide that went with the installation.

There are 4 possible causes for the NC reading on your brake controller. If the trailer is not connected properly to the tow vehicle, there is a broken connection in the brake line, the connector terminals are corroded or a ground connection is bad either on the trailer, brakes or controller then the controller will show no connection.
The controller could be shorted out and in this case you will need to replace it. There are no fuses within the controller and it is not user serviceable for safety reasons. If you purchased your controller from us and you have retained your receipt most of our controllers have a warranty and you could call our customer service department at 1-800-298-8924 and find out about that.
I have provided a link to the instructions for the Tekonsha P-3 brake controller, item # 90195, for you to use to troubleshoot your problem.
