Reusing Hardware From MaxxAir II Vent Covers on FanMate Vent Covers
Question:
Currently have three maxx air 2 vents on motor home roof. Would like to upgrade to maxx air fan mate. Will fan mate work with the existing roof vent clips from the maxx air 2 covers?

The MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955001 will not connect to the Installation Hardware for MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover.
This is due to the covers being different sizes and therefore the mounts in the FanMate are not as long as the MaxxAir II mounts.
The FanMate is designed to clip on to the MaxxAir MaxxFan's that have the quick attach mounting tabs already included on their fans produced since 2015. So if you have those vents then you can utilize the tabs rather than the brackets.
The Bug Screen for MaxxAir FanMate # MA00-955203 can be installed on the cover as well to help keep out bugs.
