Replacement Safety Chain Quick Links for 7000-lbs GVWR Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 7,000lb GTW camper with 2 safety chains from the factory, each rated at 7,400 lbs. 1 of the safety chain links has been chewed thru from rubbing against the hitch. Will a 16,500 lb GTW 3,300 Working Load Limit link extender be enough to replace that damage link until I can get it fix at the dealership or do I need a higher rating link extender? The working load limit information throws me off a little.

The short answer to your question is, yes. You can use the Curt Safety Chain Quick Link # C82932 to keep your current safety chains in good working. The safe working load limit that you see on products like the Curt Safety Chain Quick Link # C82932 has to do with everyday use. So, if you were to use this quick link to regularly pull something Fulton doesn't recommend exceeding 3,300 lbs (6,600 lbs for 2 of them).
Since you're looking to use these for your trailer safety chains you need to be looking at the break strength or capacity. With a break strength of 16,500 lbs you are well over the weight of your 4,300 lb loaded trailer.
