Is Additional Transmission Fluid Needed when Adding a Transmission Cooler to a 2005 Acura MDX
Question:
I will be installing a tow package on my MDX. If I install this transmission cooler, do I need to add more transmission fluid to make up for the increased capacity? If so, how much?

Since you will be increasing the capacity of the system, you will need to add some additional transmission fluid to top off the system. The amount varies but usually about 1/2 a pint to a quart is needed. You will just need to check it once everything is installed and fill it to the factory fill line on the dip stick.
