Correct Tire Pressure for Kenda Karrier ST225/75R15 Load Range E Tires

Question:

I have 4 of these on my 2004 keystone cougar TT that weighs empty about 6200#s. I am headed to Texas in a couple of weeks what would be a good tire pressure to run? I have TPMS in and set for my truck to monitor.

Kenda recommends keeping the 225/75-15 Load Range E tires used on their # AM32680 wheel/tire combo fully inflated to the 80 psi listed on the tire sidewall, because the capacity of the tire is dependent on the air pressure.

Some manufacturers, notably Goodyear with their Endurance trailer tires, has load tested their tires over several different air pressure levels, so at a given pressure the tire's capacity is known. Kenda only tests them at the maximum so if you were to run the tires at a lower pressure, the load rating would be unknown which could damage the tires and lead to a dangerous situation.

I've linked you to an article with more information about trailer tires that you might find helpful.
