Will LED of Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller Illuminate With No Trailer Connected

Will the LED indicator light turn on when no trailer is attached but car is on?

Expert Reply:
If no trailer is connected, the LED on the Tekonsha # 39510 Voyager will NOT illuminate. With a trailer connected, the LED will be green and will change color to red when the brakes are applied.
If you don't have a trailer connected but the LED is showing green, you likely have corrosion built up in the 7-way trailer connect which is causing voltage from an adjacent circuit to bleed over onto the brake output circuit.
