5th Wheel Hitch For 2018 Ram 1500 With A 5.5 Bed

What is the safest hitch to connect my 02 four winds dutchmen lite to my 2018 ram 1500 big horn with super short bed?

If your 2002 Four Winds Dutchmen Lite fifth wheel camper does not have a rotating turret, I recommend going with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Item # DM8550040. With the auto slide feature, the trailer will naturally pull the hitch head back as needed when turning to create the needed space between the cab of the vehicle and the nose of the trailer. This hitch does require the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails Item # DM8552030-71.
If you do not currently have a 7 pole plug in the bed of the truck I recommend the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness Item # DM8555002. This harness allows you to connect the 7 pole from the trailer to a plug in the bed of the truck instead of hanging your wiring over the tailgate and connecting it to the bumper plug.
