Cargo Box Recommendation for a 2005 Acura MDX

Question:

We want the largest and best cargo box possible to give us extra storage for skis, luggage or baby stuff. We want to still be able to use our sunroof and have something sturdy that will last forever! What one would you recommend? Which one would be the best for fuel efficiency also?

I checked with Thule and the biggest cargo box they recommend that will not interfere with the rear hatch opening on your 2005 Acura MDX would be a Thule Pulse Medium, part # TH614. This is a quality box that has a limited lifetime warranty and as long as your sunroof just slides back into the roof of your vehicle it should not interfere.

Thule designs all of there boxes to maximize fuel efficiency. You will lose some mileage, but they have done their best to design the boxes so that you lose as little as possible.

The Thule Force # TH6359B that you referenced will install on your factory roof rack, but it would most likely be too long to allow your rear hatch to open completely.
