Replacement A-Frame Jack
Question:
I have an A frame jack on a W-W stock trailer that was built back in the 80s. The handle turns with good tolerances no slop, but the handle turns but no action on the jack. will go down under load , not up. the diameter of the tube is 1.625. Without load it will go up and down. The tube has a rack attached to it. Your website shows a replacement gear box and handle, but says for tube of 2 in diameter id. any thoughts. what is the model of this jack, and are there replacements parts for it?

From the description you have provided I am unable to determine what manufacture of jack you have and without knowing what you have, it is challenging to suggest replacement parts to rebuild the gear assembly on this older model jack. You state that your tube has a diameter of 1.62", all options we have are of a larger diameter. While yes we have options for rebuild kits for jacks that are still in production I am afraid that your 80's era jack may no longer be supported.
May I suggest that you consider replacing the jack itself as we have very good pricing on this type of jack, such as the Ultimate Trailer Jack - A-Frame - Topwind - 27-1/2" Lift - 2,000 lbs, # 322-RDJ-2K.
