Tow Ready Base Rail Lock for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches
Question:
In all of my readings, from every conceivable source, I have yet to find any article that addresses locking this hitch down, preventing theft. Something that expensive has to be on the radar of every petty thief, regardless of how much it weights. Please, how is it done?

You have come to the right place, we have something for that and your other needs too. Please take a look at the Tow Ready Base Rail Lock for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 1/2" Diameter Pin, # TR63254. Just replace one of the pins on your hitch with the 1/2" diameter lock for added security. The overall length is 7-1/2", usable length of 3-1/2" with a pin diameter of 1/2", chrome plating resists corrosion. If this does not meet your needed dimension, we have the Curt Base Rail Lock for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 1/2" Diameter Pin, # C23256.
And also the Reese Pull Pin Lock Plates for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Qty 4, # RP58093.
