All that is required to make the Curt Echo # C51180 compatible with a vehicle is a 7 way trailer connector with a dedicated 12v charge line. As long as your 2019 Audi Q8 has a 7 way where the pin at 1-o'clock (when looking at the front) is powered when the vehicle is turned on, then the Curt Echo brake controller will work. You can use a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to test your 7 way to confirm this is the case but this will be the typical configuration for most vehicle 7 way connectors.
Typically this is the only brake controller that will work with foreign made vehicles that aren't typically set up to use a brake controller in the cabin of the car, so if your 12v pin does not have constant power, let me know and I can recommend an alternate solution for you.
