Where Does 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Wiring Connect on a 2012 Ford F-250
Question:

First, in order to use a 5th wheel/gooseneck trailer wiring harness your 2012 Ford F-250 would need to have a factory 7-Way trailer connector. Under the truck at the back of the factory 7-Way there will be a plug that plugs into the socket. The two connectors on # C56070 plug in line with that plug.
If your truck did not come with any sort of trailer connector you will have to add some first before you can use a 5th wheel/gooseneck harness. First you would install wiring harness # 18252. Then you would have to install a 4 and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. I have included a link explaining the ETBC7 installation. If you also need brake controller, I recommend the P2, # 90885 for its reliability and ease of use.
Then you can wire in a 5th wheel/gooseneck harness using # 20027. This is basically and extension that you can plug into the 7-Way when needed.
