Options for Solar Chargers on an Enclosed Trailer.
Question:
I am looking for a solar panel option that will keep my battery topped off and recharge it when I use my 2500lb Harbor Freight winch in my enclosed trailer. I use it only to pull my utv into my enclosed trailer. It only gets used a few times over the span of a week in the summer. Basically I do t want to buy this solar panel if when I use the winch twice in a day that I need to wait for hours or days to be able to use it again. I am thinking a car battery in an enclosed battery box will be installed. Will this solar panel do the job for me?

The Performance Tool # PTW2997 charger would work for topping off and trickle charging, but is not really designed to charge a fully drained battery.
A better option for what you would be doing would be the Go Power Portable Solar system # 34282610. This is a fully portable 200 watt system and would be perfect for your needs. With it weighing over 50 pounds though, it can be a little cumbersome. I included a link to a review of this for you to check out.
For a more permanent option, the Go Power Retreat system # 34272635 would also be a highly recommended option. I also included a link to an install video we did with this showing how easy it would be to add this on to any trailer or camper.
