Is Seeing One Bar On Display of Curt C74VV Venturer Brake Controller Normal
Question:
after checking everything out I have brake lights on trailer and I hear the trailer brakes go on and release but the controller still has only a single green light..Is the controller bad?

The single bar indicates that the gain or output control on the brake controller is turned all the way down. To initially set up the controller, place your foot on the brake pedal and hold the pedal fully down. Adjust the output slider until you see three green bars on the display. Set the sync control to the middle. Do a few test pulls to see how the trailer brakes perform. For more braking, slide the output control to the right, or to the left for more control.
I've linked to the installation/operating manual for you for the Curt # C74VV Venturer brake controller.
