Do Bearings Need To Be Replaced When Installing New Grease Seal?
Question:
For Livin Lite QuickSilver 6.0 motorcycle trailer. Do I need to replace the bearings too or just repack when replacing wheel bearing seal?

Expert Reply:
As long as the bearings are in good shape you can just repack the bearings and do not necessarily need to replace them.
With that said while you are doing the grease seal I would go ahead and just replace the bearings since it is cheap insurance that everything is in good working order.
Now to determine which bearings you need you will need to look for the bearing number stamped on the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.
If your bearings are worn to the point that you cannot read the bearing number you will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to precisely measure your spindle according to the included diagram.
If you can let me know your bearing combination I would be happy to recommend the correct replacements for you.
