Will Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play Duo DM99251 Work On 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 With Hydro-Boost Brakes?
Question:
I have just ordered #SM99251 for my Dodge. It doesnt have a vacuum booster. The boost is tied into the power steering. Will this unit still work with my truck?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Even though your 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 has hydro-boost brakes instead of vacuum assisted brakes you will still be able to install the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 you purchased.
The only difference in the installation will be instead of making the vacuum connections you will leave the vacuum line and check valve on the # SM99251 open to the atmosphere.
I included a video of the # SM99251 for you to take a look at.
