Lippert Kwikee RV Steps Will Not Stay Extended
Question:
Why does the step not stay out when door is closed?

Expert Reply:
The issue with your RV's electric steps not staying fully retracted is most likely due to the control module malfunctioning and needing to be replaced. This is what is wired to the steps to activate their functions, so if the the steps aren't staying retracted, I recommend replacing the module.
The correct one is going to depend on what steps you have. For example, if you have Lippert Coach Steps you will need the Replacement Control Module for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301702; or if you have Kwikee steps manufactured from 2006 on you will need the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379146.
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out, as well as a link to our entire selection of control modules should you need a different replacement.
