Parts Needed To Install Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack RR67QX On Leer 100XL Camper Shell

I have a factory Leer 100XL on my 2007 F150 Super Crew 5.5foot bed. Does this kit include everything I need to mount it, or do I need Rack Tracks also? Second, would this work well with a RTT?

If the Leer 100XL Camper Shell on your 2007 Ford F-150 SuperCrew with the 5-1/2' bed does not already have tracks installed you will need the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks - Channel Mount - 47-1/4" Long - Qty 2 # RTC12JW for the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack for Camper Shells - Track Mount - 60" Long x 49" Wide # RR67QX to install to. You will want to check with Leer to find the carrying capacity of your Camper Shell and use the lower rating between platform rack and the shell.

Most roof top tents connect to crossbars so to mount a roof top tent like the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars - 2 Person - 400 lbs - Tan and Red # Y07436 you would need to drill directly into the platform.

A better option to mount the tent would be to use standard crossbars like the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLT600 and Crossbars # RRVA137B-2.

You will want to make sure that the 100XL is rated for at least 165lbs as that is the weight capacity the # Y07436 and the majority of other roof top tents require.
