Is There a 2 Bike Platform with 2 Bike Expansion Available for Use on a Travel Trailer or 5th Wheel
Question:
I’m looking for a hitch mount ,trailer rated platform bike rack that can be a 2 bike rack and adding on 2 more for a total of 4. The initial 2 bike can be trailer rated and the 2 bike add on doesn’t have to be as we will only take 2 bikes on the trailer. Any help much appreciated.

I have a solution for you to carry up to 4 bikes on the back of your trailer, but there is not a platform rack that is designed to operate in this manner and is also rated for use on the back of a travel trailer or 5th wheel. For this reason you would need to use a hanging rack like the Swagman Original - 4 Bike Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches # S64400 in order to carry 4 bikes. Unfortunately there is not an expandable option that is rated for use on the back of a trailer because of the stress that occurs in these spots and the shanks not being reinforced.
Since you do need to carry up to 4 bikes at times this would be the best solution to allow you to cover all of these different scenarios.
