Does Curt A20 5th Wheel Hitch Have Bed Rail Clearance on 2021 Ford F-250 w/ Pucks & Rotating Pin Box

Question:

Does this hitch clear the sides of the 2021 Ford F250 with pucks bed if the hitch maximum is only 17? Will I have the recommended 6 inch of clearance? We will have the Turning Point pin box and I assume will also need the specific wedge for this hitch?

The most important aspect here is that you are using a rotating pin box, the Lippert Turning Point. With the Turning Point, the rotation occurs at the pin box turret instead of the hitch, so it moves the pivot point back and raises it up.

Simply put, because you have a rotating pin box, you will not have any clearance issues with the bed rails of your 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the factory puck system and the Curt 5th wheel hitch you mentioned:

This is a really nice choice for a hitch due to its strong dual jaw system and how easy it is to use. It is compatible with a Turning Point pin box, and the correct wedge is the following:

Though the product title says "Sidewinder" we do know that it works with the Turning Point pin box as well.
