Does etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit e98953 Fit 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited With Tow Hooks?

Question:

I have a question on the item below. I have a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited with Chrome tow hooks. Do the installation note below where it says must NOT be equipped with tow hooks mean they must be removed during installation or is this the wrong base plate for my Limited? I have the 2 speed transfer case with the neutral option. etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms for 2021 Jeep Cherokee excluding Overland and Trailhawk etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms etrailer Code: e98953 Installation Notes: Vehicle must not be equipped with tow hooks Transfer case must have Neutral option

The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # e98953 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2021 Jeep Cherokee, and since you have the tow hooks you will simply need to remove them during the install.

To complete your flat towing setup you will still need a tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system. My recommendations are as follows:

Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522
Safety Cables: Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645
Tow Bar Wiring: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
Supplemental Braking System: Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR

Lastly you may need a high-low adapter to level your tow bar to your tow vehicle so I have included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

It is always a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your vehicles owner's manual for any flat towing restrictions or special steps required to make your vehicle ready to be flat towed.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
