Trailer Brake Controller for 2005 Dodge Durango
Question:
I have a 2005 Durango SLT that I believe to have the factory tow package, but I cant find the blue brake controller connector anywhere. Can you guys point me in the right direction as to where I would be able to find it? It doesnt seem to be anywhere near the parking brake or the steering column.

I was able to find a picture (seen below) that may help you with locating the blue connector. Remember that it may have a cover or even be wrapped in tape making it hard to identify. If you don't have this connector than your 2005 Dodge Durango SLT does not have the factory tow package wiring.
Either way I suggest using the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. As long as the 7-Way was wired correctly for lights and charge line than this will work with no wiring required on your part. It is able to be used with multiple vehicles and pairs with your smart phone to act as the controller. Best of all since this is a proportional brake controller it will adapt to light or severe braking with no adjustments from the operator.
