Recommended Trailer Break Away System for 9000 lb Enclosed Car Hauler

Since you're dealing with a fairly heavy trailer, I'd recommend going with the Bright Way # 3802311 break away system. The kit includes a 10Ah battery and a 2 amp charger. The battery box features a nice push-to-test feature that allows you to check on the status of your break away system with the push of a button. The 10Ah battery is a must because if you get stopped for a DOT inspection, the system needs to be able to hold the trailer for at least 10 minutes if the switch is pulled.
I'll link you to an install/demonstration video for the kit I recommended, as well as to a help article about trailer breakaway systems.
