Recommended Bike Rack Compatible With Flat Towed Vehicles

Question:

Hitch bike rack for 2 bikes. Will be on towed vehicle 2013 GMC Terrain that is being towed by a motorhome. Currently regular fitness bikes but may move eventually towards e-bikes.

One of our most flexible bike racks is the Hollywood Racks RV Rider, part # HLY64FR. The RV rider can carry two bikes weighing up to 80 lbs per bike with tires up to 5 inches wide. It can accommodate many kinds of bikes, fat bikes, e-bikes, bikes with fenders or bikes with step through frames. It can be used on passenger vehicles, 5th wheels with a GVWR above 5000 lbs, motorhomes or flat towed vehicles. The rack includes a keyed alike hitch lock, locking frame clamps and a cable lock to help deter theft.

The RV Rider would be a good choice for the bikes you currently have, and if and when you upgrade to e-bikes, it'll work great with those too..

The Yakima # Y02443 HoldUp would also work for your needs, but it has a lower weight capacity at 60 lbs per bike and isn't compatible with fat tire bikes or bikes with fenders, so it might not be the best choice for your future needs.
