Recommended Bike Rack for Camper Van with Rear Spare Tire
Question:
I have a Leisure Travel van, 2000 that is on a Dodge 3500 chassis. It has a 2inch receiver and has a spare tire mounted on the rear door. The end of the hitch to the spare tire end is 8 inches. Will the Yakima or Thule bike racks fit? I am looking at the hanging type carrier. Thank You

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright post on the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR is 13-1/2" so there won't be any issues using this rack on a camper van with rear spare tire. It's our most popular hanging style rack and what I recommend using.
