Adapter to Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer with a Gooseneck Trailer Hitch in a Ford F-350
Question:
I have a long bed F350 with a gooseneck ball and am buying a trailer with the fifth wheel hook up, is this a adapter that can be used to hook it up from the fifth wheel to me bed mounted ball?

There are specific adapters that you can use to tow a 5th wheel trailer with a gooseneck hitch, but coupler # BD0289250300 is just a gooseneck trailer coupler and cannot be used for this purpose.
I have included a link to an FAQ article that covers the various options for adapter that you could use. The best and most secure is going to be a replacement pin box that has a gooseneck coupler on it, called a Goose Box. However, the trailer would have to have one of the following pin boxes for a Goose Box to work: Lippert 0115, 1116, 1716, 0719, 1621, 1621HD or Fabex PB-600 series.
For an adapter that can be easily installed and removed, or at least more so than can a Goose Box, I recommend the Andersen Ranch Hitch, # AM3100. I have linked a video review for you. If you go with this adapter I recommend added the safety chains, # AM3109.
