Identifying Base Plate Kit Installed On 2015 Ford C-Max and Recommending Compatible Tow Bar
Question:
I have a 2015 Ford CMAX. The previous owner had installed a tow bar. However, all that remains is the base bracket. Id like to identify the base bracket and possibly purchase a compatible tow bar. Once you reply, I can send you a picture

Thanks for the picture!
Based on the location of the safety cable bracket it appears that you have the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 524432-1, but I do not see the actual arms in your picture. If you are missing the arms you can order replacements using # RM-ARMS and filling out the order form by clicking the instructions link.
For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Flacon All-Terrain # RM-522 as it is our most popular tow bar due to its non-binding arms that allow you to quickly and easily unhook your towed vehicle even on un-even ground.
You will still need safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system to complete your flat tow setup. If you are missing any of these my recommendations are as follows:
Safety Cables and Wiring: RoadMaster Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain Combo Towing Kit with Straight Wiring # RM-9243-1.
Supplemental Braking System: Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR W/ 12v Outlet Kit # RM-9332.
You will also more than likely need a high-low adapter to level your tow bar to your tow vehicle so I have included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.
It is always a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your vehicles owner's manual for any restrictions regarding flat towing, and for any special steps required to make your vehicle ready to be flat towed.
I included videos for the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
