5th Wheel Bracket/Rail Kit for 2002 GMC Sierra 2500
Question:
I am looking for mounting brackets for a Reese 5Th wheel hitch Pro Series 16K. I need the mounting kit for a 2002 GMC 2500. What is the part number I need? Thank you.

I've got two different kits that'd I'd recommend, one is the # RP30035 universal kit that would require drilling into the truck frame, which would put the average install time at about 6 hours. The other is a custom install kit from Curt, part # C16418-204 that would require no frame drilling for the short bed truck or for the long bed you'll need to drill 2 frame holes. This shaves about 2 hours off the install, so many folks find the price differential between the two to be worth it. Your hitch is designed to mount into industry standard bed rails like the ones provided with the Curt kit.
If you'd like to install a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed so you don't have to run the trailer connector wire up over the tailgate, you can install one using part # C56000.
